Maison typique très agréable, au calme, parfaite pour se ressourcer dans un cadre bucolique. À 1 heure du Cimetière Gai de Sapanta, dans la campagne du Maramures.
Irina, l'hôte, est très accueillante et tient un restaurant à 30 secondes de la maison où on peut petit-déjeuner.
La cuisine est seulement équipée d'un frigo et d'un four micro-ondes, ce qui limite les repas. Il faut simplement ne pas l'oublier quand on fait ses courses, ou bien se faire plaisir et profiter des restaurants aux alentours.

It was just so beautiful! Stunning surroundings, beautifully furnished, comfortable beds and amazing showers. Irina was the perfect host- so accommodating and provided a beautiful breakfast nearby.

Everything was perfect, in the quietest part of Breb. The host is amazing, they created a cozy environment where we felt like home, with easy check-in and check-out, complete peacefulness, and all the amenities to spend some great days out of the city.
Can't wait to return!

Breb, with its ancient wooden architecture and traditional way of life, is known for being one of the best preserved villages in northern Maramures, and right so, but it is still very much a living place and definitely worth spending some time in. Breb 148, is situated at the end of a lane, and comprises two cottages and an excellent restaurant, separated by a flower meadow which in early August while we were staying was given its second cutting, the farmers making one of their distinctive standing bales right in front of us as we were eating dinner. Our cottage, Sura, was beautifully decorated in authentic style, but also very comfortable, with good showers and well equipped kitchen. Irina, the host, is wonderful - warm and attentive in just the right way. She told us about a lake ten mins' drive away for local swimming, where to find the best churches (not always straightforward on googlemaps which directs you to the middle of nowhere) and where to go for textile shopping in the village. I can't recommend this place highly enough. It is so gentle and peaceful and nourishing. And stays with you long after you leave.
