The location was perfect and the cottage and surrounding area was lovely - especially the jacuzzi. The hosts sent a list of local restaurants, activities and a guide of how to walk into the main part of Bowness (which took 10/15 minutes and was perfect so we didn’t need to drive). We would definitely stay again!!

We had a wonderful stay for my birthday! The cottage was beautiful & very comfortable, we enjoyed the hot tub with the tv & the staff were fantastic! We will be back!

The hot tub was lovely, I probably spent 5 hours in it over the course of a one night stay.
Prosecco and jam available was a lovely touch. Spacious cottage.
Over sold. What you don't see in the photos are the road just on the other side of the wooden fence with cars flying up and down it constantly, you cant hear the TV, when the sun is out too you also cant see the TV outside. You also have a very awkward dash from the cottage door to the hot tub because anyone on the road can see you.
There's some strange items in the cottage such as an old lift type thing, and a big chain on a kitchen cupboard which are excluded from the photos but do bring down the overall aesthetic of the place.
No TV in the bedroom big negative for us. Cobwebs on almost every window, bulbs not working. Spilt make up was left on the bathroom counter and the shower door doesn't close properly.
The biggest pain was the WiFi code wasn't easily accessible, we had to get back into the car and drive back into town to find signal to contact the office to get the WiFi code after a 4 and a half hour drive. The office said they had text it, but I never received it. A simple welcome note with WiFi would have been thoroughly appreciated.
Hot tub cover especially could do with an upgrade, looking very ragged. It's dog friendly, but its not very secure for dogs. We put the outdoor metal chairs against the gate and the table covering the top of the stairs to make it more secure. The gate to the road particularly terrified me with the dogs, a little latch was all to stop them getting out to the road where cars were flying down.
Yes it was a nice evening, would I stay there again? No. Would I recommend it? No. For the price, I was quite disappointed.
