This was my second stay at Centera Mirage, and overall, I really enjoyed the resort. The ambience was lovely, the facilities were well maintained, and the pool area was enjoyable. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for a staycation. Apart from a few concerns, we had a good experience and enjoyed our time there
Kids’ slide safety:
I felt the lifeguards around the kids’ slides could have been more attentive. At times, several children were using the slides close together. Ideally, the lifeguard should ensure that the child who has finished the slide has completely moved away from the landing area before allowing the next child to go. I noticed this wasn’t always being monitored closely, and I think a little more vigilance would make the kids’ pool area much safer.
Food & half-board experience:
This was probably the biggest disappointment for me, especially because this was my second visit. I opted for the half-board package, but compared to my previous stay, I found the food options this time quite limited. The variety was noticeably less, and overall, I didn’t feel the food was worth the money paid for the half-board option. My previous experience with the food was much better, so I was expecting a similar standard this time.

Staff were exceptional, warm, friendly, great with our kids and always accomodating when we had a request. Hotel facilities were great, good number of pools and plenty for the kids to do. Rooms are very large which was ideal for our family of four as we never felt cramped. Buffet breakfast and dinners were on par with the best we’ve had at a resort of this size, and there was enough variety between the three restaurants.
The resort vibe changes dramatically on the weekends (Friday and Saturdays) when the resort demographic shifts to primarily locals from Dubai and Abu Dabi on a weekend retreat. A relaxed holiday turns to borderline chaos at the pools and restaurants with large numbers of kids supervised by their nannys whilst their parents recluse in their rooms. This is not a criticism of the hotel itself, but rather the clientele it serves. Had I known this ahead of time, we would have cut our stay a little shorter as it just wasn’t as pleasant.
The only criticism of the facility itself was that we prefer a softer mattress and found the beds to be a little firm.

We liked the water activities and the kids really enjoyed their time. The property is nice and family-friendly.
The baby cot was not provided , and the kettle was not clean.
