Unfortunate.

The view was lovely. The location was good, close to an abundance of restaurants and several sights.

Upon arrival, there was no toilet paper, no bin bags, and no laundry detergent. When we mentioned the toilet paper, we were told they only ever provide one roll (if at all) because they tend to get stolen. We had to buy our own. Moreover, there was no wifi, linen or towels provided (after reviewing, we did see this mentioned on booking.com however rather hidden). The space was covered in a thick sheet of dust and the appliances and dishes also did not look well maintained. Additionally, the shower head was broken and wouldn't stay in place. It seemed to us as if no one regularly comes to tend to the property. The cherry on top was that one of us got a painful electric shock from the bathroom light switch. We got in touch with the consierges and one of them came over and said it was because of humidity (there was no ventilation in the bathroom). However, this should not pose a safety hazard which it clearly did. After an entire afternoon of waiting, another consierge came by with an electrician who allegedly fixed the issue which was to do with a disconnected wire in the bathroom. Both of them took the issue very lightly, making jokes about the electric shock received. After this entire hassle, the owner did give us a call to apologize and refund one night.

Quartier très agréable

8 / 10Excellent·Jun 2026
