Hyatt Regency JFK Airport at Resorts World New York

The room was nice, the front desk staff were helpful and the hotel itself meets the expectations I have for the Hyatt Regency brand (fancy facade, nice lobby, clean comfortable rooms).

This hotel is part of a larger Resort World casino operation that replaced or "re-imagined" the Aqueduct horse racing track. As such the restaurants were co-purposed to also serve the customers at the casino. Service was terrible at the Sugar Factory and the menu very limited. Mysteriously, there was a reservation desk at which people were lined up waiting for service even though the restaurant was nearly empty. We finally just walked in a got a server to give us a table. Even then it took forever to get even menus. the staff was very non-involved and seemed to be there just to collect their paychecks. The fine dining option was better both for service and for food but very pricy (hoping to catch casino winners ready to part with their new-found riches). Beyond these two options there was a large food court that matched the quality and feel of airports and shopping centers from the 1990's. On the outside from the main entrance the hotel looked very nice but the interior corridors connecting the hotel to other facilities at Resort World were confusing, lengthy and had the feel of a large government office building. In the Sugar Factory and some corridors barriers/screens were put up where construction had been started (apparently) long ago but never completed.

The room felt very new and clean. The room had a nice TV and plenty of USB and power outlets on both sides of the bed. The shower was very nice.

The bathroom could have used a few more towel racks. I wouldn't exactly call the view of the parking garage and Queens a "city view." The casino next door could have used a little more entertainment. The Sugarfactory restaurant next door had terrible service at breakfast. It took 15 minutes before our order was taken and then we had to ask multiple times before our coffee showed up and then asked multiple times for milk and sugar once it did.

Close to the airport rooms were large and clean and beds were very comfortable, has coffee available in the hotel reception with snacks which is very convenient

The staff were rude , there were 2 members who were helpful everyone else was very rude
