Didn't stay - lost the money but were far happier!

We had just driven from the middle of England and were told, by other people waiting to check in, that the person had left so we couldn't check in - nobody knew when they were returning. Standing around waiting for someone to turn up in a rural French valley with exceptionally limited mobile service on a blazing hot day isn't my idea of a good end to a long journey!! After poor comms (literally approving arrival time after we'd left England) and being expected to pay a 150 Euro deposit this was the final straw. We went elsewhere. Elsewhere was stress free, had a lovely shower, helpful staff (who communicated instantly) and didn't have an insanely large deposit for a one night stay...

A very pleasant stay in a pretty and peaceful place

I really enjoyed my stay in Maison Forestière de la Soye. - the location is very pretty and peaceful with plenty of lovely walks - the bed was very comfortable - the homemade jams that accompanied the fresh bread and coffee each morning were lovely - the wifi connection was very strong and fast despite the remote location - Cécile, the hostess, was kind and helpful and made me feel at home - the price was very reasonable

The house and accommodation are in the process of being renovated. The place will be perfect once this work is complete.

Sehr ruhige naturverbundene Lage ohne übertriebenen Luxus. Cecile hat uns (3 Motorradfahrer) super nett empfangen. Die freilaufende Tiere (Enten und Kaninchen) halten einen bei Laune.
