The villa is undeniably beautiful, with stunning views that are truly the highlight of the property. The aesthetics and location are exactly what attracted us to book, and the scenery did not disappoint. We stayed there for a week whilst my brother got married, the house was great for hosting bbqs and acting as a meeting point for our group.
Unfortunately, for the price paid, the overall experience fell well below expectations. The biggest issue was that we had no air conditioning for five days during our stay. Given that the villa acts like a greenhouse and becomes extremely hot throughout the day, functioning air conditioning is essential. When we raised the issue, we were simply told by the keyholder that “it’s hot, it is what it is” which was both dismissive and unhelpful.
Sleeping was difficult with no air con as the villa retains a lot of heat, and opening the doors wasn’t really an option due to the constant noise from the birds on the island directly opposite the property. The pillows throughout the villa were uncomfortable, and the mattresses in the smaller bedrooms were poor quality and not particularly comfortable either.
The fridge had a strong fish odour from the moment we arrived. Despite our efforts, we couldn’t remove the smell. I requested that it be deep cleaned, but my message was ignored and the issue was never addressed. We also had to empty a bucket of water everyday that was leaking in the utility room from pipes as after night 1 every thing we had on the floor in there in bags was ruined.
The most concerning incident occurred when the automatic gate closed on one of our Range Rovers while it was exiting the property, causing damage to the side panel of the vehicle.
Overall, the villa’s appearance and views are exceptional, but at this price point I would expect much better maintenance, customer service, and attention to guest comfort.
