Excellent stay. Warm and friendly staff. Felt as if time stopped, and we are reminded about the good things in life. The room was spacious and very typical old italian styling. A very friendly atmosphere, and welcoming. Good attention to detail, very analogue everything an art that is sometimes forgotten in this day in age. The communication with staff was exceptional. I will miss the nice simple breakfast and especially the amazing coffee that is freshly made every morning.
On your desk there are numerous tips for restaurants and directions and cards waiting for you. So you know where to go and eat a good meal the first day you arrive. Super friendly people!
Everything was nice. What could be improved was the bed covers and blankets. But it was not an issue just think it could be improved with some upgrades.

Location. While walking distance to everything, it is away from the busy section, and so is quiet.
Breakfast: basic. Continental, in short. For me it was quite enough. Some would probably prefer more substantial meal.
Room: no less spacious than in more expensive and upscale places in other cities. Clean. Good AC. Shower stall is small but no smaller than in more upscale hotels during this trip.
Staff: very friendly and helpful. In fact the manager recognized me after 7 years (This is my second time here).
Few minor improvements could be made.
One: I am not a fan of using shower gel instead of soap, but when the gel comes in a small pack instead of a bottle mount to the cabin (in a holder), this is less convenient.
Two: the hair dryer is...inefficient.

The breakfast coffee was a desaster. Instant coffee was not what was expected. The whole breakfast buffet was rather disappointing though the ham and the Yoghurt from Sterzing was ok.
