The whole place has been thoughtfully and tastefully designed, and with only 10 rooms on site you sometimes feel like your own private luxury mega-villa. The people are a real highlight. Everyone - from management, reception, restaurant, housekeeping, security, maintenance, spa, groundskeepers, maintenance, yoga etc - is so friendly and professional. We'd bump into people who we'd never met and they knew our names. It was a little detail but it really stood out. The food is fresh and delicious. They cater to gluten free and vegan guests well, but like elsewhere in Bali it seems that honey is considered vegan so just double-check before ordering. They are so accommodating though, and nothing seems too much trouble. The on-site gym is small but perfect for any exercise - squat rach with plenty of weight, lots of dumbbells and kettlebells, a pull up bar with TRX, cardio machines, reformer pilates stations and lots of floors space. The pool is beautiful with, in my opinion, the perfect temperature for a refreshing dip. If you want colder, there are contrast therapy pools too. The free shuttle service is great, and in our experience was readily available. The gladaks are a real highlight - traditional, thoughtfully designed using recycled/reclaimed materials, and with really comfortable beds. I could go on. We will be back.
There was construction going on while we were there - not on site, but surrounding the resort - which occasionally got a bit noisy but it wasn't a problem and the staff were so apologetic. Unnecessary in my view, as it was nothing they had control over, but it was appreciated all the same. Uluwatu - as with many areas of Bali - is undergoing rapid growth and there's building work going on everywhere. It's unavoidable.

Exceptionaly helpful and warm service before, during and even after my stay (helped to organize fire dance tickets, rides, and deliveries). Danielle (the wellness instructor) made my stay unforgettable with all her knowledge and experience with yoga and contrast therapy which I could not have managed with her coaching as she pays attention to every detail. The whole concept and design of the hotel is amazing - a wellness retreat nestled in a little curated jungle within minutes of many bars, restaurants, boutiques and beaches.
It’s somewhat out of their control … the construction next door, the mosquitoes in the dark rooms and bad road to the hotel. Be careful at night walking on the road to and from the hotel as it’s quite broken and hilly. And plan your transportation in advance due to the current petrol shortage in Bali.

You feel like you have come home to family, the dedication to wellness is exactly what we needed
The construction noise nearby was difficult, however it should hopefully be finished soon

It’s small and boutique hotel so that detail was nice. The contrast therapy along with free yoga classes are great.
Food - I’m sorry to say but the quality of the food is the worst I’ve had in Bali. The breakfast is pretty awful and lunches are very subpar. Noise - there are bars near by and the loudest music plays over the weekend till 2am… Value - with all the experience, the value is just not there. It’s very overpriced.
