A lovely quiet place but in easy reach of the Puy du Fou and Nantes

In beautiful countryside, comfortable beds and everything we needed for our stay. A very friendly host who always checked we were ok and put the lights on when we were out late.

Nothing.

Red Flag

20 min driving from Puy du Fou.

RED FLAG - This is not an apartment; it's a room in his house with a locked door. That should be clearly stated on the website. - An additional fee of €15 is charged for bed clothes and towels upon arrival. Although optional, it seems unreasonable, as duvet and bed sheets are a basic thing that travelers do not bring with them. Despite paying the fee, we were provided with a dirty duvet and cover, which we then had to put on and arrange ourselves. I don’t mind renting towels, but that is something I would normally expect in a hostel — not in this type of accommodation and not for the insane price of 15€. - The bathroom drain was clogged and emitted a strong odour. The shower and toilet are too small. - When I arrived, he explained the checkout instructions: "Clean the house before you leave or you'll be charged a cleaning fee" and he showed me the cleaning products that I should use. What? I found that strange, even though the room wasn't clean when I arrived, I decided to sweep it before leaving to avoid a headache. Extra: If you leave a negative review, the owner will find reasons to blame you. After I posted my review about the cleaning fees, he messaged me accusing me of breaking his kitchen board—even though I never used it. I didn’t use the kitchen at all during my stay; I only ordered food from restaurants. He also tried to charge me a cleaning fee just because I left a bar of soap in the toilet. If you read other reviews, you’ll see this has happened to other guests who left negative feedback. I have been to more than 50 accomodations on booking. This one was the worst.
