What a beautiful property, with very lovely hosts! Communication with Pietro went very smooth, and Lorenza met us down by the garage and showed us around the flat. The garage is a really great asset in Portovenere, where parking options are sparse. The property is new, modern, super clean, bright, well ventilated (also has AC), very well equipped (kitchen had everything we needed to cook great dinners). There is one big living space with a couch, which functions as the second bed, a bedroom, and a spacious bathroom as well as a small storage room, where the laundry machine can be found.
Our absolute highlight was the balcony with a direct view onto the sea. So peaceful and calming, great spot for breakfast or sitting outside at night.
Portovenere is such a beautiful place, with easy access to Cinque Terre but not as overcrowded (we thought), the sunset at Byron’s Grotto is beautiful and renting a boat to go around Palmaria is also a fun day trip! Thanks for a very very lovely stay!
Two things regarding the location to be conscious about but which are not necessarily specific to Casa Irene:
1) Beware of the mosquitoes.
2) there is a small Conad supermarket right down the street, which is very convenient. It has the basics, though we were a little disappointed especially with the fresh products on offer. Luckily there is a market on Monday down by the harbour!

Everything was very clean! Kitchen with everything you need for breakfast/meals. The balcony with a great view and location close to everything! The most lovely hosts!
