PROS:
The reception experience started on a warm note . Special mention to AI , Seigo , Shion- as such all were very forthcoming and interactive -cordial .So very pleasant to meet such , helpful and peppy staff.
Reception staff provided us with umbrellas when needed and facility to dry them outside the hotel , as well.
Attention to detail: The hotel anticipated guests' needs rather than waiting for requests, particularly with towels, cups, and other amenities for three occupants.Placed well before arrival.
The breakfast buffet and servers were very polite and constantly on their toes ; including the manager , who was always cleaning up after every guest and tidying up the buffet section.So very prompt and particular.
Breakfast buffet had a variety of options , including for kids .
The restaurant staff were attentive .
The room, though small was just right to accommodate three people .
The room's air-conditioning and ventilation were very effective.
The bathroom -hot water facility 24/7, with amenities in the bathroom like shampoo and conditioner , all from notable brands.
Location : situated 20 minutes by walk to shopping district.
The room was well-equipped with all essential amenities, including a safe, kettle,refrigerator, hairdryer.

Nice touch - take away coffee cups and coffee , separate from the breakfast buffet was placed near the entrance of the hotel.
Money exchange machines were available within the hotel premises making it safe for travellers .
Cons
Limited luggage space: The room could accommodate three guests, but there was insufficient space to place everyone's luggage comfortably.
Lack of luggage assistance or storage: The absence of a dedicated concierge or luggage-handling facility appeared to contribute to congestion around reception.
Limited evening dining options: With nearby restaurants and the hotel's own restaurant closing around 8 p.m., late-evening dining was inconvenient.

Rooms are small for the value paid, also no proper view. The windows are frosted which makes the room feel a bit claustrophobic. Rooms are kept clean. Overall conveniently located in the centre of Kyoto’s key attractions. The onsen is definitely a plus for this hotel.
We had initially emailed the hotel to help us make reservations for restaurants. Response from Front desk was very slow until the day we arrived. They did however help us when we arrived. Just felt for a special collection hotel and under the Marriott group in a country where language is limited would see concierge facilities to be top-notch.
