The staff were particularly pleasant and welcoming but I felt that they were short in numbers
The breakfast was good and prepared to order . Much better than the buffet style in some hotels and there was a wide variety of choice. Rooms were comfortable and the showers were excellent
Breakfast on day one was a bit slow and this was probably due to staffing numbers.

The hotel is very well located and inbetween the theatre and the restaurant if you’re looking for a night out. Very characterful hotel with lots of rambling staircases (but no apparent lift so maybe some access issues).
The room was at 26deg Centigrade and despite turning on all the aircon options could not make it cooler. Unable to open the window either so a very stuffy nights sleep.
Breakfast is from a menu only. I wanted cereals and a cup of tea but wasn’t available. Had to go for the Granola and yoghurt option which was overly fussy.

Easy to find location. Fantastic clean massive room, all mod cons while thinking of environments. Quirky details, lovely decor
Only thing missing was a kettle to make cup of tea, had coffee machine but don’t like coffee.

Beautiful looking property in a great location.
Attention to detail is hugely lacking despite the price remaining expensive.
The bed linen smelt of cigarettes, (know idea why), the milk in the room was off, and the shower screen support fitting wasn’t fixed properly.
Great comfortable bed though.
Breakfast was nice enough, when it arrived. The staff are seemingly lovely but not very dynamic, it’s such a slow process getting your order taken and waiting for the food to arrive. The veggie breakfast lacked equity with the meat version, no replacement for the black pudding, and one lonely mushroom on the plate; sadly the poached eggs were hard-boiled to death.
