Modern facilities, staff was excellent, they let us do a free late check out at 1 pm because our plane , excellent breakfast! Very clean and surprisingly quiet for having a room with views on the old museum and Tahir square

What a great find this hotel was ! I had a deluxe room with a fab view, down to Tahrir sq and over to the Egyptian museum . I had a balcony, well worth the extra cost. Its lovely to sit outside , watch and listen to people hurrying about their daily business ..and of course crossing the road :D
I slept exceptionally well on the comfortable beds and pillows , there is a kettle and a good supply of coffee , sugar bottled water etc. good wardrobe space. the shower had a decent pressure too , The fridge in the room was efficient. and even supplied with slippers. The staff are all friendly and great ! Breakfast was included , but I don't eat breakfast so cant comment on that area . But the biggest thanks are to Shams the reservations manager for his great communication before, after and during my stay , answering any questions quickly and clearly , and, I think his name was Mohamed, who checked me in . The evening before I was leaving , he heard me arrive back , and came to wish me a safe trip back home.
I was concerned about my choice of hotel in downtown Cairo , as the traffic is hectic. I took earplugs to use when sleeping, and didn't use them !
I had nothing to dislike ! Everything was beyond what i expected .

The location.. at heart of old cairo.
and its welcoming staff most esp. Ms. Donya..
the elevator and the cleanliness of the building entrance which i know not part of the facilities of the Museum Plaza Hotel..
