The Nest - Complimentary Massage Included

A beautiful place with a great location, modern design, and a cozy atmosphere. We absolutely loved the massage, and the breakfast was delicious! The staff were incredibly helpful and gave us great tips to make our stay even more perfect. Everything was wonderful, and we felt very welcome. Highly recommended! We definitely come back!

Unable to make use of the massage as our arrival day was a Sunday. Even if we could have had it on Monday morning before departing it would have been nice but the therapist didn’t start work until 1pm. We were told we could make use of it any time we were in Kigali again (which is unlikely but a nice offer). The blocked toilet in our room but that was quickly resolved, We had to carry our suitcases up and down the stairs at the entrance. On departure the lovely waitress helped us but she was tiny so could have done with some burly help. As mentioned in other reviews the food isn’t great but the warmth of the staff make up for it.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere that the location and staff create. My travels were subject to multiple changes right up to the day of travel and the team continually communicated with patience and efficiency. The front desk staff, Fabrice, Natasha and Isimbi, as well as their teams, were well organised and dedicated to making my stay as relaxing and joyful as I wanted while joining a conference, and then spending a few extra days exploring the city. The layout of the property was calming and open, with various options to enjoy a slow breakfast or meal, or sit and take in the greenery and atmosphere of The Nest. The restaurant staff were also so lovely (thanks to Melissa for the dedicated service, and to Angie for sharing her tasty food and warm personality!), as were the support staff at the bar, and amenities (George behind the wheel and Eugenia at the massage table). The front desk had great guidance for a first-timer in Kigali and they referred me to the Gedeon who ran an incredibly memorable tour across the city! I was also able to enjoy a wonderful yoga session at Live Well Rwanda, a short walk away, as the sun set over the city.

I did have to ask for the water temperature to be checked twice (sorted in less than a few hours), and also noticed that the property might be tricky to navigate for differently-abled people. Their response to both these observations were done with kindness and consideration.

The rooms were very clean

The show temp was not to my liking as I had barely warm showers and the bathroom door was broken and I couldn’t close it to block out light . The complementary massage was Nice but I Had no privacy to change. The masseuse phone kept ringing , which broke the whole vibe. The meals were also not the best and the chefs need more training I’m actually still tending to a runny tummy I got while there from the dinner and eggs made the next day. . The staff was very kind and made my stay pleasant. For the amount paid better food , comfort and attention to detail was expected .
