Scam

After arrival, we had to wait about 30 minutes for the host. It was 11 PM and very cold outside. On top of that, he refused to accept payment in euros and insisted on Moldovan lei, claiming that there had been prior information that only lei were accepted. This was not true, as he had previously sent us a message saying that they also accept payments in euros. When he finally agreed, he added an extra fee of several percent. Upon arrival, he informed us that the apartment we had booked was in a completely different location and that we would have to go there. Moreover, if we wanted the specific apartment we had booked, we would have to pay extra for heating. Otherwise, we could stay in the apartment on-site or cancel entirely. He also tried to convince us that we had arrived too late, even though we had informed him in advance about our arrival time and were there shortly after 11 PM, while he only showed up after 11:30 PM. In the end, we agreed to stay (we didn’t really have any other accommodation options, and it was almost midnight). When I started routinely checking the cleanliness of the room in the host’s presence, including under the mattresses for bedbugs, etc., because the whole situation seemed suspicious, the host started claiming that we were drunk (which was impossible — we had come directly from the airport) and told us to leave and cancel the stay. As a result, we were left without accommodation at midnight and had to look for a hotel. The host did not speak English at all and communicated with us through Google Translate. This place is a complete scam. It’s the first time in my life I’ve experienced something like this, and I’ve visited around 50 countries. Avoid at all costs!

Personally disappointed.

It is located on the central avenue. The room was clean and warm.

Unfortunately it was hard to find. The room was very small, in the attic, without a TV. It was not the room I had selected. There are people who only tell you in Russian how to lock/unlock the doors, you have to pay attention to a few things.
