Great location. Plenty of restaurants / cafe options just around the corner. Within easy walking distance to the major sightseeing attractions of Athens. The hosts Nick & Chris were great. No request for local information on where to eat / supermarket etc to arranging transfers was too much trouble. Basement apartment is small but very compact and clean. The apartment was located on a quiet street within the tourist Plaka district. Only thing to be mindful of is that a number areas in the apartment have very low ceilings, ie the kitchenette area / parts of the bathroom/ shower area, therefore a tall person needs to be careful.
Nothing really. Only small issue was the laundry facilities. Advertised with onsite laundry facilities available to guests, next to the apartment in the basement however, halfway through our stay, a sign appear advising that such facilities no longer available to guests. Not sure what was going on here. If onsite laundry facility required then best to double check before booking. Off site launderette available within walking distance.

The room was honestly better than expected. Check in and out were easy. The host even allowed us to check in early. I loved the small kitchen. Everything was clean and I appreciated the convenience of being able to walk to shops nearby. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Athens.
