I very much enjoyed my stay at Cabot Las Velas. I stayed here with friends for a short holiday in October 2026. I had my own accommodation (studio) on the second floor. The studio was spacious, providing a cooking and an eating area, a comfy seating area, a comfy double bed and a large sunny balcony with table and four chairs. The tekevision provided a good range of channels and streaming platforms. English channels included BBC1 London ( so we were able to keep up with The Traitors!) and BBC2 Wales. The studio was cleaned and towels renewed every other day. The swimming pool and outdoor seating area were well set out and the laundry area was useful for washing clothes if needed.
The staff at Cabot Las Velas were very knowledgeable and helpful. We hired a car for two days and the staff were helfpful in holding the keys for return.
One small thing was that in my accommodation there was no wardrobe, only a hanging rail, and therefore I had to hang up my clothes in the open. There was also a lack of hanging hooks in the bathroom.
While there were facilities which sold drinks (soft and alcohol), sweets and icecreams, there was no café on site. The reception did serve very good coffee, but a small café area would have been nice.
Cabot Las Velas is a little way out of Puerto de Pollenca. My friends are particularly fond of walking and did not find the 15 minute walk into the centre difficult. I, on the other hand, have asthma and found the walk more difficult at times. I therefore made use of the buses, the stops for which were 4 minutes from the hotel, or taxis which were reasonably priced.

Super clean and well appointed studio, perfect for just me (Or a couple) with the added bonus of a balcony and a roof terrace with loungers and tub.
No bike storage outside of the room, and a little road noise. But minor issues.

A few practical things let it down. There was very little hanging space for clothes, and nowhere to hang a hand towel in either the kitchenette or the bathroom. In the kitchenette, one of the drawers was broken, the table was wobbly, and there was no draining rack, so nowhere to dry dishes after washing up. The lower cabinets are push-to-open, but the wall units have no handles or push mechanism, so you end up prising them open with your fingertips. The toilet roll holder in the bathroom was also broken. More importantly, there was an open/exposed socket in the bedroom, which should be fixed for safety. None of these are major or expensive to sort out, and with a few small improvements this could easily be an 8 or 9.
