We stayed here for 3 nights to relax at the end of a busy fortnight visiting Venice, Florence and Rome. The hotel itself is up a narrow road (like all roads on Procida!) and felt quite rural and authentically Procidian (if that's the right word). Our room was actually an apartment with two bedrooms, shower room, kitchen and terrace, so very spacious. The bathroom actually had a cabinet in it, so plenty of space to put toiletries. The best thing about the hotel was the food - we ate in the restaurant one evening and it was the best meal of our 2-week trip, with so many home-grown, home-made or locally-sourced items. Breakfast also featured lots of home-made or home-grown items. We walked a lot around the island, but the roads are quite busy and narrow, so we did make use of the bus service occasionally.
The apartment was spacious but the furniture etc was pretty basic and it wasn't as clean as the other places we stayed on our trip (eg greasy finger marks on the kitchen cupboard doors), just lacking attention to detail. The man who checked us in was a bit gruff and (I think it was the same chap) and seemed to spend a lot of time sitting around smoking outside the restaurant or watching videos on his phone during breakfast - without earphones, my pet hate! Breakfast was great in that everything was home-made, but by day three it was getting a bit repetitive as there wasn't much variation, and it was very much based on bread, pastry and cake. Nowhere to hang towels in the shower room.

The breakfast is cake cake and more cake. But when asked we got a scrambled egg and an orange juice.
The location is terrible. It is in the middle of nowhere and the bus service just doesn't exist as it is supposed to. Directions to reach it were no good. Procida has a problem with crazy car and motorbike riders and as we had to relentlessly walk to and fro we were exposed to much stress and danger.
