Quinta do Ourives

This was a wonderful place to stay at for our time in the Algarve. It is conveniently located just a five minute drive from downtown Carvoeiro. Maarten and Elke were very hospitable and helpful with recommendations of things to do. The room was very nice and extremely clean. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and sitting area as well. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is amazing. The breakfast was out of this world and new and different each day. We had so much fun and highly recommend staying here!

Everything about Elke and Maarten’s beautiful property was perfect! Guest rooms are beautifully appointed and all have a private outdoor courtyard. The pool area was a favorite spot after busy days exploring and the “honesty bar” a nice addition. Breakfasts were amazing, with a huge assortment to choose from. Susanna was lovely and made sure we had what we needed. Elke & Maarten helped us with multiple dinner recommendations- and all were excellent! This is a very special place — we feel like we have friends there and hope to visit again some day!

Wonderful helpful hosts! Beautiful heated pool -common room big and comfortable too. Our bedroom had a huge private deck which we loved and used dauly-lots of seating and small kitchen area to store our own food. Location view is stunning ! Very close to gorgeous coastal hike and downtown beach which was lovely! Shops were excellent too. 5 -8 min drive to everything to see in this charming area. Breakfast 10/10-wow! Everyday different homemade selection by their friendly and welcoming chefs! Nice touch and delicious dishes to choose from. We will return again for sure-what a gorgeous piece of property -thank you for sharing it with us. Linda and Stephen -Canada

Only one negative-last 100 m drive is up a very bumpy clay/sand steepish road to the main gate …just do it very slowly …

Absolutely stunning property, rooms were breathtaking, pool and property calm and tranquil . Hosts were amazing, made reservations for us, spent time with us when we wanted, breakfast was fantastic. We will be back and are recommending to anyone who goes to the Algarve. Towns nearby were also terrific, so much to do, fantastic beach great restaurants.
