Our stay was really good! The guest house has been decorated with such care, it feels like a really special place. We really loved the overall atmosphere, and experiencing a more traditional house interior, it was absolutely lovely. It was also very clean, and the staff was very helpful and responded to my questions quickly. Common kitchen had all the necessities, and the bedroom itself was quite spacious, and had AC. Walkable distance from all major tourist attractions. Overall I highly recommend it!
The common area downstairs got quite chilly - we really liked the space and wanted to stay there longer, but it was too cold. It would have been nice if there were some blankets around.
It would also be great if guests were provided with small bags for carrying toilettries around, like some capsule hotels do. The bathrooms are shared, and located downstairs (bedrooms are upstairs), so everyone needs to carry the necessities back and forth every morning/evening.
The futons were a bit thin. We slept on futons in 3 different cities during our trip to Japan, and these ones were definitely the hardest.
Be aware this is an older architecture with thin walls, so you can hear other guests a lot. It wasn't a problem for us, but something to keep in mind. Also be aware there are steep stairs.
These are small complaints overall - in general, our stay was very good and I can happily recommend it!

Nothing, but keep aware that the walls are very thin. Some noise is very fast transmitted.

Beautiful, authentic, clean accommodation in a perfect location in Kanazawa. Was grateful to leave my luggage both before check-in and after check-out. The common room, by the inner garden, was a lovely place to relax with a book after a long day of seeing the sights (by the way, you can walk everywhere from here - and there are some delightful independent shops and cafes in the immediate vicinity - a super artistic neighbourhood). I slept extremely well in my beautiful room (I had been nervous as it faced the (quiet) street but actually it was silent!).

The house is very beautiful and the host is very lovely and speaks great English so check in was flawless. There's recommendations for food in the local area as well.
