If you’re looking for peace and quiet and a close connection to nature, you’ve come to the right place!
Our “Frankenblick” vacation rental is the upper of two vacation rentals in a detached vacation home, with its own entrance.
This idyllic vacation rental, nestled in the heart of nature and furnished to a high standard with great care, was fully renovated in 2023 and is located on the first floor of a two-story half-timbered vacation home.
It features a private entrance accessible via an outdoor staircase.
The vacation home was built in the half-timbered style and is located in the vacation village of Frankenau, nestled in the heart of the Kellerwald/Edertalsperre National Park in the Ederbergland/Waldeckerland region. The Kellerwald’s network of forest trails is just 20 meters away. This is where the endless and well-marked hiking trails through the magnificent and beautiful Kellerwald begin. Ideal for nature lovers and dog owners.
The house is located at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac, with a beautiful view of the valley and the village of Frankenau.
The apartment is high-quality, fully equipped, and lovingly furnished, featuring a new pellet stove as well as new Thermotec radiators.
Wi-Fi is available free of charge.
Dogs are very welcome.
There is a restaurant and a mini-market at the entrance to the vacation village.
Additional services:
- self-service check-in and check-out with a key code
- free Wi-Fi
- a travel crib and a high chair are available.
- Bed linens and towels can be provided upon request (rental fee per set: 13€)
- A free parking space is located in front of the property,
additional free parking spaces are located about 100 m away, at the entrance to the vacation village
The following items are not included in the rental price and will be billed based on usage:
- Electricity for heating: €0.35 per kWh consumed

- Stove pellets: €0.50 per kilogram consumed

Die Ferienwohnung entsprach voll und ganz unserer Erwartung. Gute Einrichtung, relativ neu, sauber, komfortabel..
Es fehlte bis auf geringe Ausnahmen an nichts.
Auch die Umgebung mit großem Waldgebiet, vielen gut beschilderten Wanderwegen und attraktiven Orten bot Abwechslung und Erholung. So müssen Ferienwohnungen sein! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Wohnung und die Lage ist sehr schön. Die Ausstattung ist gut, alles sauber. Nur die Matratzen waren nichts mehr. Wir earen zum Wandern vor Ort. Es waren einige Wanderwege laut Plan vorhanden, leider war jeder zweite Weg nicht begehbar da dort irgendwelche Bäume rumlagen. Aber nicht erst vom letzten Sturm.

Alles im allem eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, mit kleinen Abstrichen.
Ein kleiner Hinweis wäre zum Beispiel :
- Erneuerung der Matratzen im Kinderzimmer, sehr durchgelegen!
