The hotel itself is surprisingly nice and feels more upscale than you'd expect. The rooms are spacious, the furnishings are decent, the staff is friendly, and parking is convenient. The bathroom was nicely designed, with a large shower, full-length mirror, and separate toilet area.
Unfortunately, for roughly $350 a night, I expected a little more attention to detail.
The complimentary breakfast was easily the worst I've ever had at a hotel. The scrambled eggs had a strange taste and texture, the bacon was incredibly thin, overly salty, and tasted freezer-burned, and the hash browns weren't much better. There were the usual muffins, fruit, yogurt, and a waffle station, but if you're looking for a decent hot breakfast, good luck!
A couple of other annoyances: there's no coffee maker in the room, so you have to head downstairs for your morning coffee. Also, the bathroom has an automatic motion-activated light that blasts you with full brightness whenever you get up in the middle of the night. Not exactly ideal when you're trying to get back to sleep!
The bed was reasonably comfortable, although nothing special.
Overall, it's a nice property with plenty of potential, but at this price point, the little things matter. With a better breakfast and a few thoughtful room improvements, it would be a much better experience.
