Exceptional location, friendly staff always trying to provide a positive experience. Accommodation is very dated and this is part of the charm but worth being aware so as to not be surprised. Very safe and lots of wonderful activities available to fully experience the wonderful nature that surrounds the place.
Accommodation could do with maintenance and there’s no WiFi in the chalets.

The location within the De Hoop Nature Reserve is perfect and definitely one of the main highlights of our stay.
The restaurant offers a very good three-course dinner. However, the cost can add up if you stay for several nights.
Mountain bikes are available on site, which is a great way to explore the reserve. However, some of the bikes would benefit from proper maintenance.
A special mention goes to the hotel for the lovely birthday surprise they had prepared in our room for my wife. It was a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more special!
Overall, De Hoop Collection is a great option for anyone looking to enjoy nature, explore this beautiful reserve, and experience some thoughtful hospitality.

Amazing nature and variety of activities, this was out 4th time at the reserve. Whale watching was one of the best in my life and could spend a day at the shore. Great addition of the upgraded restaurant and new coffee shop at the beach.
State of the road especially once one checks in at reception , surely there are enough natural materials to fill up all the big potholes. New coffee shop at the beach lacks good coffee and variety of non alcoholic drinks is poor.

The tranquility. The swimming pools. The meal at the restaurant. The drive and views at Koppie Aleen. The animals roaming in the grounds.
The roads to the resort were terrible. Not fit for ordinary sedan car. No complimentary wood in cottage. No beer glasses in cottage. Single beds were in tiny second bedroom too small for suitcases. Could not open door fully. No fans in cottage . Reception staff fairly abrupt and disinterested. Hike on red route was not marked got lost easily. Cape Nature needs to look at what private farms can supply at a lower price.
