Overall the comfortness of the rooms are pretty nice, this is my fourth time in Shanghai and I gave this hotel a shot. Honestly, it was on my expectations, not under not above. The beds was extremely comfortable and clean, the room was clean overall. The bathroom was also well equipped with amenities and was clean aswell. The lobby is not huge but its good to have a seat after coming from outside to catch breath.
Therefore there was a small cafe nearby the hotel (2min walk) that i really like espresso and that coffee shop had the best espresso ive had in the entire Shanghai so far.
The staff barely talks english and you may not be able to ask for something specific without translation. The garage have very bad smell of odor and canalization, so if you park your car down there be ready to catch your nose. Also we had a small AC issue on the room which water was leaking from the roof, it was on the hall so no personal items were damaged, however the floor was flooded with water. But after calling the reception they were able to call both electrician and plumber at 3AM, so hats off for that. They were able to fix the problem in 20-30 mins so we hadn't wait until morning.
Also the hotel is a bit far to The Bund, which takes around 20 mins drive or DiDi until the city center.

I would like to commend Angus for being so attentive and supportive, he has helped us through a great ordeal and we love and appreciate the service he provided us. Sarah was also lovely and we are grateful for her support too.

Swim pool is nice

The hotel was very clean and had comfortable rooms.
You had to buy a swimming cap to use the pool, even as a resident.
Some of the staff were a little rude, on arrival we were told that one restaurant was open until midnight. When we entered, the restaurant manager disappeared for 3 minutes leaving us stood on our own. Then came back and proceeded to have an attitude and make us feel unwelcome. However, there was a female server in the same restaurant that took over and made us feel at ease.
Service was very slow in the bar each evening, as well as service in the fine dining restaurant.
Overall, I would not stay here again
