Check-in, cozy room, felt private, good beds.
Shower could have had a frame or something to keep the water from reaching the rest of the bathroom floor.
There was provided a squeegee for that reason, but it was very small so you'd have to crouch down on the floor to use it, so for people with mobility issues it might not be as practical, but for my own experience it didn't matter too much.
Otherwise no problem.

Had a great stay at Pensjonat Jarlen. It particularly suited me because I had a bout of flu while I was in Trondheim so my room on the top floor was a great place to retreat to as it was very warm, cosy, comfortable and quiet.
The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
It’s in a very good location - a short walk from the main square.
Pretty good value for money.
No elevators, so three flights of stairs up to my room.
Possibly because I was on the top floor, but the shower water pressure was aomewhat poor.
The room was mostly clean, but the floor seemed a bit dirty.

Amazing location, super central, a few steps away from the main square. Spacious and comfortable room with very nice furniture and well equipped kitchenette (I appreciate that the kitchinette also had dish soap and cleaning sponge, which are usually missing in many hotel rooms with kitchinettes). The view from the windows was very nice, towards Kogens Gate and the beautiful and typical buildings in front. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, which reminded me with great pleasure of my university times in Trondheim :)
It was funny to see a picture of London on one of the walls from the room, when Trondheim and Norway have such amazing views which would have fit better. The responsiveness of the persons working at the reception could be improved as it happened several times to ring at the door during the opening hours, but nobody was answering, even if I was seeing some movement through the door's window.

The beds were comfortable and blankets warm. The bathroom was large and the shower worked well.
No lift. Steep and narrow stairway. Unfortunately the room was not the one we booked that had a desk and table and chairs. The room we got did not have a desk and only two recliner chairs. When we asked about it the next day they said they would check on it and let us know. The following day we asked again and the agent took us to the room we had booked and said we could change but we decided to leave a day early and not bother moving.
