The view was fantastic and the apartment was spacious. I especially enjoyed seeing the lake changing throughout several days and different weather.
The parking space was very difficult to get into with the standard sized rental car due to a metal planter placed in a difficult position by a neighbor. It is so low it was not picked up by the vehicles warning systems or visible in rear view or side view mirrors. It caused damage that we had to make a claim on. Don’t try to pull in one movement or you may have the same headache.
Also understand you are sharing the building with 3 other apartments. Not knowing that led to confusion about the proper door to enter which was in the back.

Wonderful view of the lake.
It's very unpractical to stay there if you don't have a car. The apartment is at 3.2 km from Brienz (not 1.9 as written in the description), and there is only one bus per hour. Walking to Brienz takes 50 minutes. One has to go to Brienz to shop groceries (there are no shops nearby, it's the country side), so it is really uncomfortable without a car. In addition, the apartment is distributed in three floors and the children's bedroom is on the top with a very steep stairs. Not recommended for small children nor elderly people. I found it too expensive for such a remote location.
