If you want to stay in the La Rambla area, this is one of the best-value options for price, location, and included breakfast. La Rambla is known for its overwhelming crowds, which make it a hotspot for pickpockets, so stay alert. Nowhere near La Rambla is truly quiet, but the hotel sits beside a beautiful church on a plaza that is less crowded than La Rambla itself. In the middle of it all, the hotel felt like a hidden treasure. Our room had a balcony overlooking the plaza. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel's transportation service was excellent and reasonably priced: €45 for three people with four pieces of luggage. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and public transportation nearby, and you're close to Barcelona's major sights.
Breakfast had a limited selection, but it was good enough to start the day before heading out. The surrounding neighborhood has beautiful architecture but isn't very clean, though that's no fault of the hotel.
