It was very okay
Good and friendly staffs
There was no WiFi in rooms and mobile signal was bad, so I was literally off the internet

Lovely helpful staff, good value breakfast and excellent location for Aston Villa F.C.
A little TLC needed on decor of room but very clean and comfortable beds.

The hotel was very good value for money the room was comfortable the sheets and towels were clean and liked new
Staff were lovely very friendly and helpful.
2 decent steaks on a Tuesday for £15 breakfast was freshly cooked as well .
The hotel has free parking which is a bonus (not match days it’s£8)
We caught the train into Birmingham to go to the utilia couldn’t face a 2 hour stint in the car park trying to get out
10 minutes walk to train station and £5.50 for to adults return to city centre
The hotel is under Aston freeway but surprisingly it was not noisy.
Would make a great based for people going to an Aston Villa match
All in all a good stay
The only down side could do with a complete upgrade looks a bit tired .
Have to say that the decor didn’t spoil the ambiance of the place .
I would imagine the atmosphere is cracking on a match day

Good room housekeeping and cleanliness despite the room itself having maintenance issues. The bed was comfortable and the tv worked. Staff cheerful and friendly and good to have staff on the front doors on a match day.
The room had cracks in the wall, the shower head needs replacing, the toilet seat didn’t fit and the plinth under the shower was dislodged. The room Wi-Fi didn’t work and I suspect that is a regular situation as they make a comment on the information in the room .More concerning was the check in at a busy bar, my room number was announced and repeated as I couldn’t hear it in a noisy bar,and travelling as a solo female , and after the issues at the Travelodge’s, I thought this was unacceptable. Room details should be written down and handed over. They ask for photo ID but nowhere did it state that they take a copy of it I queried this and was told it was for security and it would be shredded the next day. No details on their website or on Booking.com regarding copying. It did not appear to me that my data was held securely but put on a clipboard in the adjacent unlocked room along with the copy of the passports of the couple checking in at the same time.
