We absolutely loved the hotel. We went with our dog, and were able to have breakfast with him next to us, the gardens are fantastic.
We struggled to find the parking entrance, not well signed posted.

This was our second visit, the previous having been 30 years before. The breakfast was excellent, but not necessarily great value for money, the room was lovely, with lots of quirky original features, but the furniture and minibar looked liked they had just been ´dumped´in the room without any thought on aesthetics. The location is great, it feels like you´re in the countryside, but there are facilities within a 20 minute walk, and a regualr bus service to Bethune.
I was disappointed to find the main restaurant, and menu degustación was unavailable on either night we were at the hotel - the other options were pricey, we ate in La distillerie, the food was okay, but not, in my opinion, worthy of the pricetag. We ate many better, less expensive meals on our journey through France. In the room there were problems with a non-functional/tempremental bedside lamp, and curtains which didn´t close properly. I reported this to reception but we never saw anyone come to repair them. On arrival there was one towel for two people for two nights - this was sorted, but for the price and for the star rating it was all a little disappointing.
