The location was lovely! Tucked in a small forested area on a farming property. You drove past sheep, cows and horses on your way in and out. It was very charming! The wifi was excellent and it had an amazing shower...great pressure! The kitchen appliances were brand new and very modern. The property had a private swedish hottub. Cannich is a quaint town but we came to love it. There's a great store that has everything you need, and we spent a few lovely nights at the Affric Bar chatting with the very friendly locals. The location is the "gateway" to Glen Affric so easy short rides to some amazing hiking! Gorgeous valleys and lush forest walks and waterfalls (Plodda and Dog Falls).
The cottage was smaller than the photos suggest. We had 4 adults staying there. The living room furniture was quite small and not very comfortable. The mattresses could use an update as well. You could feel the springs on the kids beds, which might be ok for kids but because they were used by adults it meant some uncomfortable nights. We were missing a few important things like a frying pan (although they fixed that quickly!), salt and pepper and a stand up broom. The hot tub was a bonus but it's not easy to manage as it's wood-fired. It took a lot of wood (most of it we had to purchase) and a few days to figure out, either very cold or very hot. But it was a project to work on. Reminder to some: there is no washing machine. Something I failed to check on. My bad!

We loved the at nature feel of the property and all of the wildlife that joined us. It was clean, simple and very cute. There was everything you need and the appliances were all of high spec (not usual for this type of property). The wood fired hot tub was an added bonus!
There’s nothing I didn’t like about the property but if I had to comment I’d say the external of the house was due a to be stained or treated.

Brilliant location in a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands lovely scenery and fishing..Was given towels and a welcome park. WiFi and heating worked well. The shower was good had plenty of plates and bits and bobs you could cook with.
Fridge didn't work lost some milk, tv was very small, microwave was rubbish and the beds were very uncomfortable better beds in Nick!! Dusty in a few places if I was being picky extractor fan was filthy.
