With sunny interior spaces, unique architectural features, cozy bedrooms and large, private backyard, you won't want to leave Terramar! Spend your days relaxing at the beach, or by taking a quick day trip to San Diego. In the evenings, take a short walk to the beach to watch the sun set over the ocean or enjoy a backyard BBQ with a fire pit and test your skill at cornhole!

The Living Room:

Terramar is on a quiet residential street and the 5 freeway is less that 2 minutes away for easy access to anywhere in the area. The beach is 2 blocks away and is an easy walk from the house.
The area is best accessed by private car but ridesharing services are active in the area if you'd prefer to come without a car.
There are train tracks about a block away from the home. Guests will hear the train during their stay. This property is professionally managed by Haustay Vacation Rentals. Quiet hours outdoors start at 9PM. No parties are allowed. No smoking or vaping on the property. Pets permitted with a non-refundable pet fee of $150 (two dogs max, no cats).

My family and I stayed here for a few days recently and have no complaints. It was a very spacious house for us, beds comfy, kitchen useable, decent sized yard for kids and a dog. We loved the cornhole set. The walk to the beach was very doable, although we'd drive down early, claim a spot (they fill fast) so we wouldn't have to drag a bunch of stuff, then walk back and forth. The house came very well stocked for the beach... multiple boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, towels. The train noise didn't bother me at all, but my kids didn't love it. But it wasn't enough to keep anyone up at night. Another plus, is that its really close to the strawberry farm. Also the AC was very appreciated. Only minor complaint is the fountain in the little atrium was a tad noisy for me at night (it can be unplugged and replugged in day). Although its a nice touch, to me that atrium area felt like wasted space for the owner, it could easily be turned into another bedroom.But we'd definitely stay here again!

Great location in Carlsbad. Walking distance to the beach and short car ride to Carlsbad Village and walking trails. The house has everything you need with a huge backyard which is a bonus!

Overall the house was extremely comfortable, well equipped and satisfied our needs for a short stay. It was easy off the freeway and in close proximity to all our needs. My friend and I appreciated having separate spaces during our stay and my dogs loved having the enclosed yard to run in! The neighborhood was very quiet and seemed safe which was important to us. Communication with the host was very good and replies were prompt. We had trouble getting into the lockbox initially and the host talked us thru it. there is a marshy area (common in this area) near the backyard so be sure to take your mosquito repellant!
