Our in-law apartment is located on a quiet street close to McMenamins Kennedy School hotel, Extracto Coffee, Wilder restaurant, Dame, Gabbiano's restaurant, Bardo Tea (tea and meditation), The People's Yoga, and New Seasons Supermarket. You’ll love our place because of the comfy bed, the neighborhood, the coziness, the light, the kitchen, and the local joints. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and travelers with a pet

My best friend and I finally took a trip together after 34 years of friendship. Portland is amazing and this location is perfect to get around easily to all the hotspots. Walking to the restaurants a block away is highly recommended. The property was clean, fully stocked with amenities, the host was communicative prior to arrival. The apartment was quiet and on a dead street. The neighborhood was lovely with lots of great yards to admire when we went on walks. We needed nothing extra while we were there. I will recommend this apartment to friends and family and will return if in the area.

The Modern Sanctuary was very clean and neat and our host Michael was prompt in answering all our questions. The kitchen had all the essentials needed for coffee, laundry and for cooking some meals. The Modern Sancuary was also close to dinning, shopping, grocery store and public transportation which we took advantage of during our stay. The neighborhood was very safe, walkable and we also made friends with the community and attended some of the community events which was an added bonus to our trip. It was truly the best experience we have ever had staying at a Vrbo. Portland Oregon is all about community and The Modern Sanctuary is in the center of community even when you are a traveler or just visiting, you get welcomed into a community of the friendliest people and the most beautiful neighborhood to walk around in. I could go on bragging but you have to spend time in the Modern Sancuary to know what I’m talking about. Thank you Michael for having such a wonderful place in the best neighborhood for travelers.
