The location was perfect. On main street and close to our daughter's school.
The rollaway bed could have been higher and the mattress firmer.

Very well preserved historic building. Upgrades to the patio were pleasant.
Front desk was constantly unattended. Booking listed that breakfast would be provided. When I came downstairs at 8:15am not only there absolutely no food or snacks but there was also no dest attendant to ask.

I cannot remember experiencing such excellent customer service as I did during my stay. Every single person I encountered from Abby at the front desk to cleaning staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Brook and Joe were outstanding in their service, friendly and fun. Andrew was as helpful as he could be. Everyone remembered who I was and why I was there, remembered what I liked. I seriously cannot say enough about the all the folks at the James Buchanan Hotel, Restaurant and Pub. The fact there was no elevator in this beautiful historical building, which as I get older, I find really handy, wasn't really an issue because Abby was kind enough to meet me when I unloaded my car and assist me with my bags. There is really absolutely nothing that would keep me from staying here again.
The food, drinks and appetizers were wonderful!
There really was nothing to dislike. May a throw rug or two in the room would have been nice as the floor was could be cold, but certainly nothing at all I would ever complain about.

Location was great, and staff were friendly
Housekeeping (used water bottle in room at check in, dusty bed backboard), and lack of breakfast (despite reservation confirmation saying bfast was included)
