I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Kanthak and it exceeded my expectations far. The owner was so kind to help me out in so many ways, even with my dietary restrictions. He made food for me that I really enjoyed and helped me out with finding my way in Lumbini, and with my bus back to Pokhara. The room was basic, but very clean, and all I needed, with a beautiful morning glow and fog over the rice fields with sun set. I for sure will stay here again if I come back, and recommend the hotel to others 🙏🏻
The blankets were quite warm in a room with no A/C and the sun the whole day on the windows. But that was the only thing, and something to work around :)

The location right outside gate 5, a short walk from Maya Devi Temple, and close to Lumbini Market was fantastic. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the value was excellent.
It would have been nice to have normal bedside lights for reading, they were red and sometimes blue so I had to use the big overhead lights. And not the hotel's fault but walking down the street at night was very dark, especially for a solo woman.
