Rosie's Club

Stayed here for 1 night on arriving, before exploring Corsica by train and returning to stay for a further 2 nights. Both rooms (3 then 2) were tastefully and individually decorated with a comfortable bed, and were well-equipped with an iron and ironing board, hairdryer and extras like tissues, cotton buds and make-up remover pads. The shower was hot with good pressure. Loved the kitchen area shared between the 3 rooms. It had a 'homely' feel to it and was equipped with a fridge, coffee machine, kettle, and microwave. A chiller cabinet was stocked with wine and soft drinks and there were crisps, snacks and sweets available (some complimentary and some labelled to be paid for). This area was always immaculate and guests using the kitchen were respectful of others also using the facilities. At the far end of the kitchen was a balcony decorated with plants, lamps and fairy lights, where it was great to have a coffee in the morning and look out at the sun rising over the sea. This made up for the fact that the bedroom window was tiny and you couldn't really use it except to let in fresh air. Communication with the owner was good with detailed instructions on how to access the room and how Rosie's Club operated and a prompt response to any queries. Although located in the less fashionable/working end of Ajaccio away from the tourist area, it was about a 10 min walk from the railway station, which suited us, and the shops and restaurants were only a short walk further on. There was a small convenience store on the main road about 3 mins away from Rosie's Club.

Loved everything about Rosie's Club itself. There were 2 things that were negative but out of the owner's control. The short, winding road leading up to the block of flats feels quite steep when you're lugging a heavy suitcase uphill, and is a bit scruffy with a cracked concrete road surface, the usual litter and squashed plastic bollards lining the sides. It feels safe though. The building is easy to find being at the end of the road directly in front of you. The huge downstairs lobby is very stark, empty and gloomy with nothing but staircases and doors. A tip - the light switch is behind the main door on the right hand side. If you arrive in the dark, you need to use this to be able to see the other switches further along. There are also 16 steps to get to the room.

Excellent location and huge space!! The full kitchen was excellent and clean! Lovely stay!

A 10 minutes drive from the airport and a 5 minutes drive from the port and/or towncenter (if you want to do this by feet it is not is a way up to walk). Very good bed. A kitchen to share with 2 other guests

Not easy to find the building at night.

Very nice cozy apartment with separate joint kitchen area where tea and coffee is available and some snacks. And they have a balcony where you can ne outside and have a cup of tea

I prefer bed which is not so soft but this is personal. All good!
