Moldy and cold, with a struggling heater and the world's tiniest shower.

It was cheap and located not too far from the zoo and botanical garden in Fukuoka.

Where to start with the many problems we had with this property? My friend and I stayed for two nights while in Fukuoka as a pass through on a visit to Vietnam. The location of the property is a little hard to find, but not terrible and it's a short taxi ride to the center of town. The immediate area is also walkable, so that was the only thing we didn't have an issue with. The moment we walked in, we were assaulted by the smell of mold. It quickly became apparent that the curtains hanging in the room, aside from likely the sinks etc, were the main culprit as the bottoms were covered in dark, moldy stains. If you are allergic to mold definitely don't stay at this guesthouse. The second problem was that we visited in late December, when evenings were not freezing but still were rather chilly. There was one aircon/heater unit in the room, and while we cranked it up to the highest setting it just could not keep up with the freezing temperature inside the apartment. We ended up having to wear multiple layers of socks and sweaters while inside in order to not freeze, so space heaters would've been a nice solution to this problem. The last issue is the bathroom. The shower was so small that I, a person who is 5'4", could barely fit. My friend who is 5'6" had a bit more trouble and anyone taller would need to standing bent in half. Overall, while the price is certainly really cheap you get what you pay for and a cold and mold allergies are not high on my list. Would not recommend this place.

Bruh

The personal was very flexible and permitted me to stay another 2 nights other than what I had initially booked, which isn't blatantly obvious when travelling across Japan. The instructions were crystal clear and there were no particolar problems around the room regarding electronics, such as air conditioning or the bathroom.

Ok, so, what do we start from... The images shown in the hotel frontier do NOT match what I personally found. There are multiple rooms, but they show you only the one with the "poster" of the great Kanagawa wave, which is MUCH better. The room I stayed had stains of Idontknowhat around the place, the iron was oxized and generally the room's smell was really bad. I am not a picky traveller, I am no fancy hotel guy, but this experience was really something. About the position: it sucked. It really did. The nearest station (train) is 30 minutes away. You had a bus station to Hakata, but it is like once every 30min/1hour and it's not that reliable like the subway or the trains. At this point, while reading this you might think "welp, it's not like you cannot understand this things from the description on booking..." - well, let me tell ya... I initially wanted to rent another little apartement from the same company, I even sent my girlfriend the site from which I was going to do the booking, BUT THIS ROOM WAS ASSIGNED INSTEAD. I am letting out a possibility that this was an unfortunate misunderstanding by my part, so I was down to let it slide, but absolutely NOT when I get spammed in my email FOR WEEKS to leave a rating. Overall, If I had to rate the room I'd say: Location: 4/10 -> Bus only (if you don't want to walk a long way), konbini it's not the closest in the world, food chains and other to eat are pretty far away and the ones that are close are pretty limited. There's a super and if you're willing to walk you can find something, but doing 30 minutes (come and go) between traffic, traffic lights that are slow as heck and everything, it can become a pain in the ass Room/Cleanliness: 2/10 -> I've seen dirty rooms. 103 was... definitely something. The floor as well was coming off, that's the level we're talking about.
