About this house rental
View From Within is a modern detached property situated in a secluded private area above the popular Lake District village of Bowness, which is just a five minute's walk away. The property is ideal for large groups or families looking to enjoy a luxury holiday, with facilities catered for those who wish to relax, boasting panoramic views of the surrounding hills and Lake Windermere and a large south-facing balcony perfect for sunbathing or al-fresco dining. We are pet friendly and downstairs you will find a newly built spa room with hot tub and pool table, as well as a private cinema room.
The house has 6 large bedrooms configured to accomodate up to 12 people. Each of the bedrooms comes with its own flat screen TV and en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet facilities with two of the bedrooms having a bathtub. View From Within has a fully equipped kitchen suitable for cooking large meals and a large dining room where everyone can gather to enjoy a lovely meal with a view.
From central Bowness you can hop on one of the famous Windermere Lake Cruise boats and take an evening cruise to Lakeside or Ambleside. Self-drive and rowing boats are also available to hire from Bowness Bay, or for those not too keen on water, take a bus and explore what the rest of the Lake District has to offer.
Bowness itself has a variety of great pubs, restaurants and bars to enjoy all in walking distance from the house. For guests who enjoy the outdoors or are in need of a good dog-walk, we recommend heading up Brantfell either in the morning to catch the sun rise over the east, or watch the sunset over Claife Heights to the west in the evening. Brantfell is a fairly short walk right from the doorstep but provides some of the best views of Lake Windermere and the rest of the Lake Disrict's famous mountains.

Beautiful property with fabulous views, location great. People with mobility issues may struggle due to steep hill up to the house if walking. Just a few minor things, we had the twin room downstairs, no hooks on the doors to hang towels on or dressing gown. No shelves in the bathroom to put toiletries on. No coat hangers in the small wardrobe, had to get some from another room, only suitable to hang short items. Thick dust on the bedside lamp. Friends who had two of the doubles rooms upstairs with no wardrobe or drawers (baskets to put items in) found the beds very low. Unable to put rubbish in the bins as very full, had to leave by the bins, something had been in them on the morning of leaving so had to try and clean it up as best possible. Like I said just minor things. We had a lovely three night stay

This amazing property is perfect for a special occasion. It feels luxurious and is decorated to a high standard. Every room is stylish and clean equipped with en-suite facilities and a tv. The hot tub is a great addition alongside the pool table and the wonderful movie room. The location is perfect with easy access to Bowness but far enough away to escape the crowds. If walking there is a small incline to manage but worth it for the fabulous views this house offers. A welcome gift from the host in the fridge on arrival was lovely and started our stay on a high! Would most definitely recommend.

12 of us plus a pet stayed for a weekend to celebrate my husbands 80th birthday, age from 12yrs to 80yrs . Great location, very spacious views were fantastic, nice walk into Bowness but a bit of a hill walking back . Hot tub was lovely and to have a pool table in the same room was brilliant .
