Pros: Host contact prior to check in/told me to let him know our arrival so he could talk me through the house setup. House well stocked:soaps paper products dishes linens. Large lot/plenty of seating/fire pit. Large back deck. Kitchen appliances good working order. Very large master bedroom/bath Washer/dryer available Owner fixed issue with lower window unit & toaster promptlyCons: Upper bedrooms not useable bc of heat. Ran units/fans as directed & temperature was not conducive for sleeping. Kitchen & main floor living areas very warm. We were instructed to leave the door open but then got house flies galore in the house. Ended up renting large stand up unit for 200 which made the week bearable. I asked about the air conditioning situation prior to taking this rental last June. Was told that split units were being put in for main living area in September. Apparently didn’t happen. Kitchen has a very small eating area so if you’re stuck inside with inclement weather be aware that table only fits 4 Suggestions: Keep a few cupboards empty for groceries. Kept most non perishables in bins bc there wasn’t cupboards to put it in. Bring popup to cover the table on back deck. The nuts that fall from tree are obnoxious and afternoon sun bakes you back there. One additional note is the pictures online show some taxidermy on walls. Be prepared that there is a lot & while it’s not my thing the grandsons loved it

Jeff was very accommodating and available. Answered any questions promptly. Our family absolutely LOVED the yard, deck and bar area!! Central air would be nice, but would not stop us from going again. The house was very well stocked. Hot tub was a real plus! Thanks for a memorable vacation with our family!!

Beautiful location with adequate parking and lake access. We particularly enjoyed the deck and kayaks. Jeff was friendly, available and responsive. The basic description of the house was accurate regarding number of beds and baths. It’s a fine place for a weekend of fishing and hunting and should be identified as such. However, the pictures on VRBO did not reflect the number of mounted heads, stuffed animals and skins which are displayed throughout the house. The house is cluttered and musty smelling. The fourth “bedroom” was a basement filled with four beds. The kitchen cabinets were full of stuff but all need a good cleaning and organization. The paddle boat is old and unusable. The shower in the master bedroom has no door or shower curtain. It was not a typical VRBO property based on our experience.

We stayed for almost a week the lake was beautiful and the neighbors were very friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that we had to clean the place when we got there, ( moldy bread in the cupboard, branches on the deck, grill was gross). We even had to go buy a grill brush as the one provided as so worn down it was like a stick with grease on it. When we fired up the ,( after having to buy propane because the 3 tanks were empty) the neighbor came running over because the whole gril was in flames from not being cleaned. If you put all that and the cobwebs and broken stove aside it was a big house on a beautiful lake that we enjoyed. Just don't go by the pictures.
