I have stayed in this apartment three times over the last two years and love it. It is short walk to Billow Ness beach and beautiful coastline walks. Anstruther has lovely cafes, restaurants and pubs that are all dog friendly. The Dreel Tavern is wonderful, with excellent food and wine. Staff are lovely too. It was warm when we visited so sat in the beer garden. We visited St Monans and Pittenweem too, with their picturesque harbours. We walked to the centuries old windmill at St Monans. the apartment is comfortable and has lots of home comforts; blankets to keep cosy (although apartment is warm). Daryl, the host is friendly and helpful.

The apartment was a 2-min walk to the nearest pub / restaurant (Dreel Tavern) and a 5-minute walk to a local corner shop (A&A stores - a wee bit pricey, fine for the basics). Apartment supplied basic provisions on arrival (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biccies) which is great until you can get to the shops. The kitchen had a good range of pots, pans and utensils needed to cook. Lovely views although it can't now boast views of the Isle of May - as there's new houses built opposite, but still offers an amount of a pleasant sea view. It's very conveniently situated for a short walk to the harbour and the town front for places to eat - went to the Waterfront Pub one night, very nice, and The Rockies restaurant in Anstruther Golf Club too, an easy 5-10min walk (had a really lovely sirloin steak) very nice food there and good value for money (... if there is such a thing these days ;D ) fab views too, would recommend. The weather was kind to us, so made it all the more enjoyable. Overall, the apartment was very well-appointed; well-laid out, good-sized hallway, well-decorated, bright, warm, clean and tidy, quite homely, and well-positioned for walking into town. A nice wee place for a few nights venturing around Anstruther, and touring around the beautiful Kingdom of Fife. Thankfully the apartment didn't smell of dog as can often be the case in places that allow dogs (quite off-putting - sorry dog owners) !!
These aren't points of dislike - just observations. Slightly confusing front door key entry box to open as there were (2) codes that could be used when accessing the key box. Front door needs two keys to open it - very secure (which is good). The apartments bulkhead hallway entry light didn't work (for us) or we couldn't find a switch. Main bedroom is quite snug - a bit of a tight walk around bed / floorspace, but had enough cupboard / draw storage space. The main bedroom door needs shaving off the bottom as it was really tight on the carpet. We arrived on two motorbikes so we needed space for our bike kit etc. (our problem, not theirs...) the reasonably good-sized hall cupboard was useful for that. A bit of travelling noise from the apartment below late on the first night, the neighbour in the ground floor apartment has a dog, so you couldn't walk past their door without setting it off barking - you need to be fairly quiet going up / down the main stairwell to respect other apartments as quite echoy (not that we were noisy), felt awkward that we were disturbing their dog tbh :? The perils of staying in apartments I guess - nothing that put us off - we would return.

The flat was clean and well maintained. Kitchen is well stocked with coffee, always a bonus. The ocean views were beautiful and we were very comfortable. Town was within walking distance and we were within 30 minutes of St Andrews, where we were moving my daughter into school.
We got two loads of laundry finished but the machine did not finish our third load and we ran out of toilet paper. Neither hiccup was a big deal.
