Very unpleasant stay

The location of the property was nice and convenient, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay. On the day we arrived, we reported broken furniture that was in an unsafe condition, as well as basic amenities that were not working. Despite reporting these issues immediately, the property management did not take adequate action and refused our request to move to alternative accommodation. We hope the issues were repaired after we left, but this does not change the fact that we had to spend our stay dealing with problems that should have been addressed before guests arrived. We also flagged the issues to Booking.com. Another concern was the additional “refundable” damage fee or non-refundable damage waiver charged by the property, on top of the amount already paid through Booking.com. We were told this was required to complete check-in, and without completing this process we would not receive the information needed to access the keys. At the time, I did not initially see this as a red flag. However, after reporting serious issues with the property and experiencing the way management handled those complaints, the additional fee became a concern. I opted for the non-refundable damage waiver, so I cannot comment on whether the refundable damage fee is actually refunded or how repair costs are handled in practice. Nevertheless, the conduct we experienced during our stay understandably raised concerns about the transparency and fairness of these additional charges. Overall, the combination of unsafe broken furniture, non-functioning basic amenities, lack of effective action after reporting the problems, refusal to provide alternative accommodation, and the concerns that arose around the additional fees made this a very unpleasant experience. We would expect a property to ensure that everything is safe and functioning properly before guests arrive and to respond appropriately when problems are reported.

Not an problem for us, but the stairs to the apartment would be challenging for people with mobility issues . Also stated is that this apartment has a city view, it doesn't ! It backs out on to other buildings. But don't let that put you off booking here.
