Great location, but poor communication and disappointing value for money.

The apartment is in an excellent location, which was definitely the highlight of our stay. However, considering the price, the overall experience did not offer good value for money. Communication before arrival was disappointing. Although we received a lot of automated information, none of my parking questions were answered despite following up four times. It was only one day before arrival that parking was finally arranged, creating unnecessary stress. We also had to pay CHF 30 per night for parking, even though there was a parking space available in the building's garage. We had originally planned to stay for two nights but changed our reservation to one night. Despite this, we not getting back any paybment for the unused parking fee, which is disappointing. Another concern was the mandatory €200 damage deposit. This was not mentioned during the Booking.com reservation process but was requested a week before arrival via an email containing a payment link. Unfortunately, this felt unprofessional and initially raised concerns about whether the request was legitimate. When I questioned it, the response from the host was rather unfriendly, simply stating that these were the "house rules." Finally, the mattress in the bunk bed was very uncomfortable and should be replaced. It is not suitable for an adult, so I believe advertising the apartment as comfortably accommodating four adults is somewhat optimistic. Overall, while the location is excellent, the communication, unexpected deposit process, parking experience, and sleeping comfort did not meet expectations for accommodation at this price point.
