The apartment was great, just what you need for a short stay!

The property was in a great location and easy to walk wherever needed! Yiannis was very helpful and willing to help out a solo traveler.

At night, the hallway is very dark and could use a light to help see the key for the door.

Great location with super friendly host

Location was perfect, close enough to everything but also quiet and able to get a good sleep without any noise disturbance after long days out. Yiannis, the owner, was super friendly and allowed us an early check in and offered advice on where to go in the area.

More basic than we expected. Could use a bit of a refurb.

7 / 10

The stay was good, because we spent most of the day roaming Athens.

The property is very conveniently located. It is only 50 meters from the Plaka.

The room was extremely small. it was difficult to unpack.

Far from a 4 star stay

Undoubtedly the location is the highlight for this property and Yiannis was prompt to communicate with, for which we are grateful.

Issues encountered: - black mould in the bathroom on the ceiling and tiles - Toilet is unusable unless you sit side angle on (I believe this is a known issue but due to plumbing restrictions in an old building cannot be fixed) - Cupboard and bathroom vanity smelt damp - Minimal circulation of air or sunlight in the room so very stale and mouldy smell - Basic amenities missing such as shampoo, conditioner or body lotion - Overall very rundown condition of the room I raised these concerns with Yiannis who respectfully offered two solutions: 1. to clean the black mould the same day or 2. for us to check out and find another accommodation in which case he would refund us the remaining stay. As tourists we all know it’s not possible to find a decent accommodation on the same day and when you have tours booked for sightseeing, neither solutions are practical. His offer of cleaning the black mould addressed one of the several issues but not the others, which were dismissed. We were hoping for a change of room but this was not possible due to other bookings. I requested if as a gesture of goodwill, we could receive a partial refund and stay one further night as the property was not to the agreed condition of what was advertised and we could not find accommodation so quickly. However, I was advised that this is not possible as this is against company policy. No other solution or gesture of goodwill was offered as in Yiannis’ view the solutions provided were enough, though I clearly communicated they were not suitable to our schedule for the day. Personally, I’d recommend pay a bit more and stay in a cleaner place that is mould and dampness free. Communal areas were very run down and overall a nasty stay for what is a very beautiful city.
