Terrible state, misleading photos, customer service ignored my feedback
Beds were comfortable.
Whilst I am sure you will say that the floors are hoovered, they neither look nor feel as though they have been. From the very first night, my socks were covered in dust. Under the bed is frankly disgusting; it appears that all dirt and dust has simply been swept underneath (see attached photograph showing the grey piles of dust). The floors have also clearly not been mopped, as they are sticky throughout.
There was no washing-up liquid or any sponges provided, meaning I had to purchase these myself.
Additionally, the cleaning team’s role is to provide additional toilet rolls. There were none anywhere in the house, despite me searching every cupboard for them.
The non-en-suite bedroom had makeup stains on the yellow throw blanket. In the en-suite bedroom, the yellow throw blanket had simply been scrunched into a ball and thrown into the wardrobe.
Safety concerns:
* The upstairs non-en-suite bedroom door does not close. The threshold is too low, or the door has been cut too high, meaning it simply does not fit the frame.
* The bathtub has neither a non-slip surface nor a bath mat. My friend slipped and almost fell. There is also nothing to hold onto whilst getting in or out of the bath. Furthermore, there were no thick floor bath mats provided outside the bathtub to absorb water.
* There was no bath mat outside the en-suite shower.
* There is a fuse box inside the downstairs toilet. I can safely assume this room was previously a cupboard that has since been converted into a bathroom. There are numerous reasons why this is unsafe and, depending on the type of fuse box and installation, illegal in many circumstances. Electrical safety legislation generally does not permit fuse boxes in bathrooms. This presents a significant potential risk to life.
* According to the sign outside the property, there is audio and visual CCTV. This has been covered with paper towels.
