A warm welcome to our “Gretel Vacation Rental.”
Our cozy vacation home “Hänsel & Gretel” awaits you with its enchanting charm.
Built around 1870 and renovated in 2020, this half-timbered house is just 3 km from Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe and 7 km from Grimmwelt.

For business travelers:
The booking confirmation / rental agreement serves as proof of travel. An additional invoice can be requested at the time of booking and will be issued after departure.
Rental rates apply to a maximum of 5 people.
A €100 security deposit is due in advance and must be transferred along with the rent. The security deposit will be refunded after departure.
Electricity, water, and heating are included.
Bedding and towels are included.
There is no visitor’s tax.
A parking space is available free of charge on the street.

The lovingly designed interior, combining old and new, gives our boarding house a unique character that will delight you during your fairy-tale stay.
Your vacation apartment is located on the upper floor and features free Wi-Fi. In the living area, you’ll find a couch that can be used as an additional sleeping space (140 x 200 cm). You can lean back in the recliner and relax with a good book.
Start your day off right in the rustic country-style kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with high-quality appliances (e.g., a Moccamaster coffee maker).
The first bedroom features a single bed.
The bathroom has a bathtub. Four steps lead to the separate toilet.
Through the bathroom, you enter the second bedroom, which features a double bed (160 x 200), a wardrobe, and a reading nook just outside. The beams of the half-timbered house give this room a distinctive ambiance. From the bedroom window, you have a fantastic view of the North Hessian hills.
In the rear part of the apartment, the ceiling height is less than approximately 1.80 m due to the sloping roof.
The “Hänsel Vacation Apartment” is located in the same vacation home but has a separate entrance.

Selten habe ich mir so oft den Kopf angestoßen. Die Wohnung im Dachgeschoss ist süß eingerichtet, alles ist da was man braucht. Die Sauberkeit ist super. Manko ist für mich das grosse Teile der Wohnung für mich nur gebückt oder im krabbeln zu besuchen war. Also, alle unter 170cm ein echtes Schätzchen für Euch. Als 2 m Mann komme ich nicht wieder.

Schöne Wohnung in zentraler Lage, sauber und perfekt eingerichtet. Jedoch haben Menschen <1,70m erhebliche Schwierigkeiten den hinteren Teil der Wohnung zu erreichen. Darauf sollte im Exposé unbedingt hingewiesen werden.

Wir haben das Wochenende im Haus Gretel sehr genossen, wirklich ein bezaubernder Ort! Das einzige, was uns aufgefallen ist, sind die zum Teil zerkratzen Teflontöpfe. Die wollten wir dann nicht benutzen. Aber sonst war alles perfekt, herzlichen Dank!
