La Piccola Corte Malpensa, 8 minuti d'auto

The owner was extremely kind, friendly and helpful. We arrived in a rather unusual situation – our flight had been cancelled and we needed accommodation at very short notice. The owner kindly picked us up from the airport and also drove us back there the following day. This was a huge help, and we really appreciated her kindness and quick assistance. The accommodation itself is clean and has a very special atmosphere. What I particularly enjoyed was the history of the place and its family connection to aviation. The owner told us about her husband’s grandfather, who was an engineer - Gianni Caproni during the time of the First World War. The propeller displayed on the wall is a beautiful reference to this family history and aviation tradition, giving the place a truly unique character. The breakfast was simple and typically Italian – biscuits, rusks, breakfast cereal, yoghurt, juices, water and capsule coffee. I especially liked the beautiful plates it was served on. The location was also a big advantage. There was a small local shop nearby where we could buy fresh bread and things to go with it, such as butter, cheese and cold cuts. There was also a lovely, atmospheric restaurant nearby, run by a very kind lady who prepared a dish for me that was not even on the menu. There was also a local place selling drinks nearby. For such a small town, there was really everything we needed. The atmosphere was enhanced by the church tower nearby, whose bell rang approximately every 30 minutes. I found this very charming and it really added to the feeling of staying in a small Italian town.

The main disadvantage was the shower with a rain shower head. A lot of water splashed around during the shower, so even though I did not need to wash my hair, I ended up with completely wet hair anyway. It would be worth considering installing a handheld shower head, which would make showering more comfortable and help avoid this problem. The stairs leading to the room and the corridor are quite narrow and have a slightly attic-like character. This might be less convenient with larger luggage, although it was not a major problem for us.

Our room was very clean and quiet with balcony and view to a river. Beds were new and the bathroom was also very clean and comfort, fully renovated as well as the room. Some minutes away from Malpensa airport, by car. Mrs Emmanuella was very kind and helpfull host and she helped us a lot with the secure and easy parking of our car. We will return.

Absolutely everything! This b and b is one of the nicest I have ever stayed at. Beautiful, clean and authentic Italian designed room… amazing dining and breakfast area, quiet and scenic country views from the balcony. Our hostess was very kind and accommodating to make sure we had the best time and catered to everything we needed. Even picked us up from the airport only 8 minutes away. Made a nice dinner reservation at the local restaurant, top notch food and Italian family atmosphere. I highly recommend!!
