Room 1 was fantastic!
Great size room and lovely views

The pub, the friendly staff staff, the friendly pub drinkers who spoke friendly and interestingly, the sea view from the fine hotel room window, the clear TV channel, the music event with some very good musicians !!!
All okay - good enough!

A lovely, lively hotel in a wonderfully convenient location. Everything was spotlessly clean, tastefully presented, and comfortable. The bar houses an impressive war memorial museum, put together by the owner, a veteran who continues to donate proceeds from the bar to help fellow veterans. My room had an open view of the wharf across the road, where I enjoyed watching the enormous hovercraft glide across the Solent, carrying passengers between the mainland and the Isle of Wight in under 15 minutes.
The stairs :-). But I always have this issue when I travel as I'm unable to lift much due to an injury. Steve from the bar happily offered to carry my bag up the flights and I appreciated his courtesy very much!
