Not recommended for solo female travelers
Good location and modern building with everything needed.
I stayed at this place, and honestly, it was one of the most distressing experiences I’ve had while traveling around Southeast Asia. It’s one of the most expensive places I’ve paid for in the region, and I chose it mainly because I wanted to use the pool and the gym. The building itself isn’t bad, and the location is fine, and the host is not a bad person — but overall, the experience was very negative.
I’m a solo traveler, and if you’re a woman or someone used to a more Western travel style (where things are clear and communication is straightforward), I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation. From the very beginning, there was confusion and a total lack of clarity. They asked me to change rooms without clearly explaining why or assuring me it was safe. When I asked simple questions like “Is it safe?”, the reply I got was “Sorry, I can’t answer right now, I’m at the spa” — instead of something reassuring like “Don’t worry, everything is fine.”
Later, they told me that the police would come for an inspection without explaining anything further. I said I was nervous and scared, and again, no comforting response — just silence. That lack of empathy and communication made me feel extremely anxious.
Check-in was also very confusing. The security guard was rude and unhelpful, the access code system was unclear, and the gym is actually in another building, which no one explains properly. The language barrier and the lack of clear instructions make everything even more frustrating.
At one point, I felt so unsafe that I slept with chairs against the door. They also asked me to pay in cash (something I hadn’t noticed on Booking) and didn’t give me any receipt, which felt very unprofessional and made me doubt the whole situation even more.
I truly believe the host is trying their best, but there’s a huge cultural gap and this place is not suitable for solo female travelers. If you care about clear communication and feeling safe, I strongly suggest staying somewhere else.
