Extremely disappointing
Disappointing Accommodation Experience – Triple Creek Winery
We recently booked accommodation at Triple Creek Winery for a group of seven, looking forward to an enjoyable weekend in the Barossa Valley.
Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were extremely disappointed with the condition of the house. There was a strong, unpleasant musty smell throughout, cupboards were broken, and the property had clearly not been cleaned or prepared to an acceptable standard for arriving guests.
While the owner did attempt to arrange a cleaner, we were advised that this could not be guaranteed. We were also offered the option of making up our own beds, which we felt was unreasonable given we had paid for accommodation that should have been clean and ready for our arrival.
Ultimately, the condition of the property left us feeling that we simply could not stay there, and we were forced to find alternative accommodation at short notice. Thankfully, we managed to secure somewhere wonderful, but this was an unnecessary and disappointing start to our weekend.
To be fair, we did receive a full refund as requested, which we genuinely appreciated. However, this does not take away from the disappointment and inconvenience of arriving at accommodation that was not in a suitable condition for guests.
We are not writing this review to criticise anyone personally, but rather to provide honest feedback. When guests book and pay for accommodation, there is a reasonable expectation that it will be clean, well-maintained and ready for their arrival.
Unfortunately, on this occasion, Triple Creek Winery fell well short of those expectations, and we hope these issues are addressed so future guests do not have the same experience.

Nice location and house. Not well kept and overpriced
Spacious. Great scenery.
Spiderwebs and spiders all throughout the house. Millipedes everywhere. The power to the house went out in the middle of the night and it was unsafe to walk to the mains to switch the power back on. Sam the home contact was helpful to get the power back on

Good location
Could not contact staff to confirm access code. Code was provided by sub contractor staff working on the property. Did not receive return call

So good on many levels but needs to do better
The house is great, perfect location
The property is not well maintained. Smoke detectors left open with no batteries, chipped cupboards and scuff marks and outside furniture covered in many bird droppings. Bins were overflowing before we added our own rubbish and despite phone support from the owner anc highly competent people within our group, we could not light the pizza oven.

The location was awesome. The vineyards surround was stunning and the house was gorgeous. So spacious too with plenty of spots to relax in. Comfy lounge and beds. The main ensuite was enormous. Overall, we loved our stay.
There were no tea towels in the kitchen, no dishrack and nothing to wipe down the benches which made cleaning up the kitchen difficult. I sent a message asking about this but the host didn't reply. There was no firewood for the pizza oven which was fine, except that the photos on Booking.com show a storage area under the oven stacked with firewood. In general the outside area seemed a bit run down and neglected. One of the smoke alarms was hanging open from the ceiling, presumably not working.
