Bring your own toilet paper
The room was spacious.
Beware the statement at the bottom of the amenities that lists "towels/sheets (extra fee)." In my many travels, I have never been suckered out of 11€ that way... why offer a bed with no sheets?? The owner claims it is a law, and they are not allowed to offer bedding otherwise. Why not state the exact fee upfront or mention the amount in the booking emails? As for the "its the law" line, i looked at several other listings on booking.com. NO ONE ELSE on the site has a fee. Is every other property breaking the law?? Silly me for being suckered by this. This includes toilet paper, too, according to the owner.
Contact info on booking.com does not link to the owner but to a management company, which says to contact the owner. The owner sent no check-in information and blamed the company for not sending them my email. I had to find the owner on WhatsApp and initiate all the contacts. She made no attempt to reach out to me - through her management company or through booking.com.
Someone at street level in the courtyard has six (i counted from my window) dogs that go crazy whenever someone walks down the alley (which happens often). Anyone talking in the alley below or in the building (I hear the constant noise of doors opening and closing) can be heard despite both sets on windows being closed.
The room is hot (no AC). The door is opaque, so the hallway light comes through all evening. To cool the room down, you have to open the windows, but to get the room dark and get some privacy, you have to close the shades, which block the air.
There was a lot of noise in the building before 6 am. The hallway in the building echoes, so it woke me up. Someone cleaned the hallway loudly starting at 6 am, banging against my door as they went.
The room I reserved had a balcony, washer/dryer, and a bathroom with hand soap. My room had none of these things.
Between the poor communication, false advertisement, and noisy setting, I would not recommend this place to anyone
